Information About the Park

Nature Park of Rusenski Lom is one of the ten nature parks of Bulgaria. It is situted along the canyon type valley of Rusenski Lom River - the last right feeder of the Danube. The Park has been announced protected area in 1970 and embraces a territory of 3408 hectares. The Park is recognized as an interesting and precious site of high aesthetic value preserving beautiful riverside terraces, meanders, high vertical rocks, areas of rich variety of species, caves, rock formations, historical monuments of national and international significance. The Park satisfies people's recreation needs and gives an opportunity for scientific and exploration activities.

Information About the Park
A unique and picturesque spot of our nature is situated in the Eastern part of the Danubian hilly plain at about 10 km south of the town of Ruse – this is the Nature Park of Rusenski Lom. The Park bears the name of the Rusenski Lom River – the last right feeder of the Danube River. It has been announced People’s park with an area of 22 267 decares by Ordinance ¹ 567 of February 26th 1970, published in Official gazette 30/14.04.1970, situated along the valleys of the rivers of Mali, Cherni and Beli Lom, having total length of 42 km. The Ordinance describes the boundaries as well as the managing regime of the protected area; it also puts a number of terms concerning the activities undertaken on the park’s territory.

Internal Rules for administrative service

The administrative is realized on observing the principles, set in the Administration Act and the Administrative-procedure Code (APC), the Regulation for the general rules of the administrative service organization.


New possibilities for cooperation and data exchange in the region of Low Danube Green Corridor

Rusenski Lom People’s Park Friends’ Club is partner under a project, financed by WWF, and executed by the Business Centre in the town of Kahul, Moldova, together with the Regional Agency for cross-border cooperation Euro region „Low Danube” Reni, Ukraine and „The Centre for Ecological Consultations” of Galati, Romania for the establishment of an Internet based platform for exchange...
